What is breast augmentation?

Breast augmentation is the enlargement of the breasts through the surgical insertion of breast implants to improve the shape and size of the breasts. Before surgery

The patient undergoes a general anaesthetic for the operation, which lasts around 2 hours. A space for the implant is made under the breast or pectoral muscle and the implants are then put in place. Depending on the aesthetics of the implants, the surgeon may adjust the size of the implant to achieve an optimal appearance.

Post-operative care

Some patients may experience some temporary pain or mild discomfort for a few days after the operation and your breasts may feel tight or slightly or moderately swollen. Breasts may be tender for a few weeks.

Scars should fade and flatten between two months and a year after the operation, depending on how the patient heals.
